THE HAGUE, April 7 (AFP) - Finance Minister Gerrit Zalm said Thursday the Dutch state had reduced its stake in Air France-KLM from 14.1 percent to six percent, the ANP news agency reported.

The transaction yielded EUR 11.5 million (USD 14.8 million) for the Dutch government.

Following a merger last year of Air France and KLM, which created the world's largest airline, The Hague had said it would sell its preferential stock in the company.

The French state has also reduced its stake in the joint company.
