Dutch film-maker murder suspect held in France

PARIS, May 26 (AFP) - French police have arrested a Russian national who has been linked to the alleged murderer of Dutch film-maker Theo van Gogh, officials said Thursday.

PARIS, May 26 (AFP) - French police have arrested a Russian national who has been linked to the alleged murderer of Dutch film-maker Theo van Gogh, officials said Thursday.  

Bislan Ismailov, a 25 year-old believed to be close to Chechen Islamist groups, was arrested on May 18 in the central city of Tours and is awaiting extradition to the Netherlands.  

Ismailov's fingerprints were detected on a document found at the home of Mohammed Bouyeri, who is standing trial for Van Gogh's murder last November.
