Chirac and Sarkozy to see Lebanon's Hariri

PARIS, May 10, 2007 (AFP) - French President Jacques Chirac and his elected successor Nicolas Sarkozy will together hold talks Thursday with Saad Hariri, head of Lebanon's anti-Syrian parliamentary majority, the president's office said.

PARIS, May 10, 2007 (AFP) - French President Jacques Chirac and his elected successor Nicolas Sarkozy will together hold talks Thursday with Saad Hariri, head of Lebanon's anti-Syrian parliamentary majority, the president's office said.

The meeting will take place at 12:30 pm (1030 GMT) at the Elysee palace.

Chirac was a close friend of Hariri's father Rafiq Hariri, who was assassinated in February 2005.

The president and his wife are to move into a Paris apartment belonging to the Hariri family when he leaves the Elysee on Wednesday.
