Chinese top duty-free shoppers in France: study
Chinese tourists are the top duty free shoppers in France, spending some 1,300 euros ($1,900) on average each time they hit the shops last year, according to a study published Tuesday.
Chinese tourists spent 650 million euros on duty free goods in stores part of the Global Blue network, which published the study, and accounted for 16 percent of the sales by tourists outside of the European Union.
Russian tourists were in second place with 220 million euros in purchases.
