PARIS, Jan 27, 2007 (AFP) - A French man died Saturday after being run over by two trucks when he was thrown from his car during a collision with wild boars near Paris, police said.

The driver and a passenger were driving an all-terrain 4x4 on a motorway at Croissy-Beaubourg, east of the capital, when the accident occurred.

The victim, 55, died when he was catapulted from the vehicle and crushed under two heavy-goods trucks and two other cars.

The passenger was taken to a nearby hospital, where the extent of her injuries are not known as this moment, said police.

None of the other drivers were injured.

Wild boars and deer in the forests on the outskirts of Paris are known to come down to the roadside during winter to look for food.
