Boeing to sell leasing firm 14 737-800 airliners
Boeing has struck a billion-dollar deal to sell Air Lease Corporation 14 of its 737 series airliners, exercise existing options on six more and take new options on another 13 jets, the US giant said Monday.
The orders for the latest version of the world's best-selling commercial jet have a list price of over a billion dollars and if ALC exercises all its options the deal could be one of the biggest of the Paris International Air Show.
In addition to a firm order for the 14 737-800 series jets, ALC confirmed it would take six more it optioned last year and would take options on buying four more, plus five 777-300ER long-haul planes and four 787-9 Dreamliners.
The deal was announced at Le Bourget aerodrome just north of Paris, on the first day of the the biggest event in the global aviation calendar, amid a flurry of new orders for jets from several international planemakers.
