PARIS, March 2 (AFP) - An ongoing strike by staff at Air France prompted flight cancellations and delays at Paris' main airport on Tuesday, airport sources said.

Ground staff at the main Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport have been sporadically going on strike, together with their colleagues at Orly aiport, since February 9.

About 10 flights were cancelled at the airport at Roissy, northeast of the capital, while 40 others faced delays of about 40 minutes on average as a result of Tuesday's action, a source said.

Air France staff at Orly airport south of Paris also observed the strike on Tuesday but it was not immediately clear if their action had disrupted air traffic.
