PARIS, Oct 7 (AFP) - Air France-KLM said Thursday it will raise the fuel surcharge on long-haul Air France routes by EUR 11 (USD 9) per flight from Monday in response to sharp increases in oil prices.

The total fuel surcharge on long-haul flights would stand at EUR 26, an Air France-KLM spokeswoman said.

The EUR 11 addition is to be withdrawn if oil prices fall below USD 40 a barrel for 30 consecutive days.

Air France-KLM also plans to increase ticket prices on long-haul routes sold in France by three percent for flights from November 1, while ticket prices for medium-range flights in Europe and North Africa are to be raised two percent.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said it will raise its fuel surcharge by EUR 7 per flight from Monday on long-haul routes, bringing the total to EUR 20.

The increase is to be withdrawn under the same condition as that announced by Air France.

KLM added that its surcharge of EUR 13 per flight for the European network remained unchanged.
