Air France, China Southern seal Guangzhou route deal
Air France and China Southern Airlines on Tuesday signed a joint venture agreement for flights between Paris and Guangzhou in southeast China, the French airline said in a statement.
"It consolidates our position in one of the most buoyant regions of the world and enables us to offer our customers improved service whilst maintaining costs," Air France chief executive Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said.
Air France added in its statement that "several other connecting destinations beyond these two cities will gradually be introduced on a code-share basis within the framework of this joint venture."
Air France and China Southern have been code-sharing the route since 2004.
