Twenty-four children were found infected with the swine flu virus at two Paris schools, city authorities said Tuesday.

Paris--Twenty-one of the cases were registered in a primary school with two others in a linked kindergarten in the city's XVth district, with the other case in a nearby area.

The two institutions will remain closed on Wednesday and an ultimate decision taken by sanitary officials, a statement said, adding that the infected children were undergoing treatment at home.

France has reported 174 swine flu cases since the end of April -- the vast majority of which were linked to people who had returned from travel abroad, and none of which were fatal.
