All you have to do is read this story about “Emma”, answer a few questions, and send your answers to marketing@expatica.com. Good luck!

Emma Parker, a young English woman, had grown tired of her life in London. With no love prospects in sight, her career a stalemate and even urban London looking lack-luster, she decided to make the leap abroad. Her destination: Paris, France. With nothing more than her savings and a two-week hotel reservation, Emma set off…

The first week was exhilarating, of course. She explored the city, checking out little bistros and museums and visiting the famous Eiffel Tower.

By the end of the second week, she began to worry. She was jobless and had no connections in the city, and she couldn’t stand the hotel room for much longer. Where would she live? Worse yet, dining alone was becoming unbearable.

Wandering through an English bookstore one day, she overheard a group of expats mentioning an English website that provides news and information for expats in France. Curious, she fired up her laptop and went straight to www.expatica.com.

How do you think Emma improved her increasingly dire situation? Answer the below questions and get ready to spend your Amazon gift certificate.

Emma wanted to do something fun other than wandering like a lost puppy. She found an event that tickled her childhood yearning to be Marie-Antoinette.
What event did she attent? (Hint: Go to Entertainment>Expatica Calendar)

After having some fun, she had to get down to serious business. She knew she needed to find a job, and fast. Fortunately she got an interview soon after submitting her resume to Expatica. With project management experience, she knew she had a good chance of getting the position.
For which position would she interview? (Hint: Go to employment>job search)

Her next important item to check off was improving her French lingo and again, Expatica was there to rescue her. In no time, she knew how to order a glass of wine in French.

When was this “phrase of the day” posted and what is the translation? (Hint: Go to Life in France>Lingo)

Finally, with all the basics taken care of, she thought she wanted to meet some new people online. She found an interesting post from a poster looking for tennis or squash partners to play from time to time with in Paris. Being interested in tennis and squash herself, she decided to respond.

To which forum thread does she plan to respond? (Hint: Community>Forums>France>Groups & Clubs)

Don't forget to send your answers to marketing@expatica.com. Good Luck!
