GOAL is a humanitarian NGO (Non Governmental Organisation)
founded more than 30 years ago, and based in Dublin, Ireland.

Since it's foundation, GOAL has worked, and continues to work in many developing countries  ensuring the poorest and indeed most vunerable people in our world can benefit from the fundamental rights of life, which we all take for granted, like water, food, accommodation, education, and medical care.

GOAL currently operates in 12 countries in the developing world. Since the first plane load of food flown to famine stricken and genocidal Cambodia in 1978 to the current   team operating in various African countries where a combination of prolonged drought, the death of livestock, failing crops and conflict significantly contributes to soaring malnutrition rates.

GOAL is funded in many ways and prides itself on the fact that it has from the start, had a very low administration cost base. Many governments including, Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Netherlands, Australia and Spain have supported GOAL financially. Many other methods of fundraising are used by GOAL, and the most popular being the GOAL Ball.


Paris, like New York, London, Vienna, and Dublin hosts a GOAL Ball.

The ball commences with a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal, and wine, and then dancing until dawn, in some cases. The charity auction on the night is also a sight to behold when slightly inebriated egos very often shine through brilliantly, for GOAL that is. The GOAL Ball of Paris is now one of  the social events of the year for many Ex-patriots and French people, who dress up, let their hair down, have a great night and most importantly, raise very needed funds for the poorest of the poor.
