The canoeing Olympics gold medallist has been chosen to be French National Olympic Committee.

PARIS - Dual canoeing Olympics gold medallist Tony Estanguet will be France's flag-bearer at the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony on 8 August, the French National Olympic Committee announced on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old from Pau will be going for a third straight Olympic title in China after winning the C1 slalom golds at Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004).
He takes over from handballer Jackson Richardson who bore the tricolore into the stadium in Athens four years ago.
The French delegation to Beijing is set to be between 300 and 310 strong, slightly less than the 316 who competed in Greece.
