Barcelona | 11/06/2009 - 27/09/2009 Kees van Dongen

First anthology exhibition in Spain of the work of the Dutch painter Kees van Dongen (1877-1968), bringing together almost 100 of his works, and a number of works by Pablo Picasso, bearing witness to the friendship between the two artists. The retrospective presents Van Dongen’s early work in Paris in the 1900s and its clear connections with Picasso —whose neighbour he was in the Bateau-Lavoir— and, brings to light his fundamental contribution to Fauvism.
