Valencia's freefall felt in Japan too; Tokyo protests against president.

MADRID - For months Valencia's Mestalla Stadium has been adorned with graffiti attacking club president Juan Soler. Now, halfway around the world, discontented fans have voiced their disapproval of the flailing soccer club's principle director, this time in Japan.

In Tokyo, around 100 Japanese fans formed a street protest, with banners calling for benched veterans David Albelda, Santiago Cañizares and Miguel Ángel Angula to be reinstated to the field, and for the polemic president to resign for his bad management.

Valencia, sponsored by Toyota until the end of this season, is one of the most popular teams in Japan.
