29 January 2007, NAVARRE — Two soldiers were killed and another two seriously injured when a military helicopter crashed on Monday.

NAVARRE — Two soldiers were killed and another two seriously injured when a military helicopter crashed on Monday.

The accident happened at about 1pm near the motorway NA-129 in Sesma, in Navarre.

Military sources said it was on military manoeuvres when the tragedy happened.

The two soldiers who survived were taken to nearby hospitals but were both said to be in a grave condition.

All four were from the military base at Agoncillo  in La Rioja.

The helicopter crashed for as yet unknown reasons and burst into flames.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
