MALAGA — Police investigating the alleged rape of a British holidaymaker on the Costa del Sol have arrested two Spanish men in their early 20s.

The woman, 41, told police two men had attacked her in a hotel in Benalmadena during the early hours of Sunday morning, the BBC reported.

Last Wednesday, five UK tourists were arrested in Tenerife on suspicion of gang-raping a 23-year-old holidaymaker. Four of the men arrested were later released without charge.

The woman said six men she had invited to her apartment near the Playa de las Americas resort had attacked her.

The British Foreign Office said she had received treatment for internal injuries and bruising.

Two weeks earlier a woman, 21, from Wales said she had been gang-raped by Spanish men while on holiday in Majorca.
