MADRID — A British man has been kicked to death while on holiday in Fuerteventura.
Brian Hobbs, 52, from Glasgow, was attacked by two men outside a bar in the Caleta de Fuste area on the east coast of Fuerteventura on Thursday.
He was travelling alone and arrived on the island for a two-week holiday the day before.
Officers said they were dealing with "an apparent senseless act of unprovoked violence" and believe they know the identity of the two "local" suspects.
They said there were 30 other customers in the bar whenMr Hobbs was attacked and he died at the scene.
One woman tried to intervene but was threatened.
The men responsible ran from the bar and drove off in a grey Renault Clio car, which officers have traced.
