ALICANTE — Three people were killed when a school bus carrying a party of children crashed into two cars.
Two teenage girls were in hospital in comas after the crash in Torrevieja, near Alicante.
A bus swerved to avoid a car which had changed direction and crashed into two other cars.
Three adults were killed in the accident which happened at about 6pm on Thursday.
Another 15-year-old girl teenage girl who was on the bus was undergoing surgery for serious injuries to her jaw.
Another girl broke her tibia and a boy suffered a broken foot.
The other school children, who were on their way back to Toledo from a trip to Torrevieja where they had been to an aquatic park, suffered minor injuries.
The summer camp had been organised by a bank, La Caja Castilla La Mancha.
