17 January 2007, SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE — The airport at Tenerife has been evacuated after a fire started at the arrivals area on Wednesday.

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE — The airport at Tenerife has been evacuated after a fire started at the arrivals area on Wednesday.

The Civil Guard said the airport is likely to be closed for two hours.

The blaze started at 9.40am.

Emergency services were trying to battle the fire.

AENA which runs Spain's airports, said no injuries were reported yet.
