BARCELONA-A Dutch plane with 140 people on board veered off the runway upon landing at Barcelona airport Sunday but no one was seriously hurt in the incident, airport officials said.

The incident involving a Boeing 737 of Dutch airline KLM arriving from Amsterdam was apparently caused by a faulty landing gear.

Ten people suffered light bruises and were being looked after by doctors.

El Prat airport's main runway was closed to traffic. Five incoming flights had to be rerouted.

The incident happened late Sunday.
