PALMA DE MAJORCA -dpa -  The death toll in a string of storms that hit Spain's Balearic Islands has risen to three after an injured victim died at hospital, local media reported Friday.

The victim was a watchman whose booth was knocked over by a wind gust in the Majorca capital Palma about two weeks ago.

Two other people have been killed by storms over the same period. They included a kitesurfer who was thrown against a hotel by a wind gust on Ibiza, and a Danish tourist who was swept away by flooding on a Majorca street on Wednesday. dpa st ds
