MADRID-The top stars in Spanish music have come together to make a commemorative CD on the first anniversary of the 11 March Madrid massacre.

The CD, entitled 'We will not forget you', is dedicated to all victims of terrorism, but will be released next Monday ahead of the actual anniversary on Friday.

There will be a national day of mourning on 11 March.

Clara Montes, Javier Gurruchaga, Ana Belén, the band La Oreja de Van Gogh, Ismael Serrano, Andy y Lucas, Ana Torroja, Mónica Naranjo, Fito Páez, Valderrama, María Dolores Pradera, Pablo Milanés, Sergio Dalma and Aute are the stars who feature on the CD.

It will also feature readings by some of the artists who said the CD was conceived "to maintain the memory, so as not to forget and to mitigate the pain".

One reading will be from a story by the acclaimed writer Jose Saramago, called 'The face of an injured people'.

All proceeds from the sale of the CD will be given to the Fundation for the Victims of Terrorism.
