KABUL — A patrol of Spanish soldiers in Afghanistan fought off a Taleban attack, defence ministry sources said on Friday.

The Spaniards were attacked by four Taleban fighters at a police control north of Baghis.

There were no injuries among the Spanish troops, said defence ministry sources.

One of the Taleban was slightly hurt.

He was given first aid by the Spanish soldiers and put under arrest.

Earlier this week, a mine attack on a convoy of Spanish soldiers left no injuries.
