Spanish trade deficit fall 3.2pc to EUR7.8bn

24 October 2007, MADRID - (AFP) - The Spanish trade deficit shrank 3.2 percent in August to 7.82 billion euros (11 billion dollars) compared with the same month last year, the trade and industry ministry reported Wednesday.

MADRID - (AFP) - The Spanish trade deficit shrank 3.2 percent in August to 7.82 billion euros (11 billion dollars) compared with the same month last year, the trade and industry ministry reported Wednesday.

The shortfall was reduced by 7.8 percent to 62.70 billion euros over the first eight months of the year.

In August the value of imports came to 19.95 billion euros while that of exports was 12.13 billion.
