MALAGA — Spanish authorities have arrested 10 Colombians and a Spanish army soldier on the Costa del Sol on cocaine-trafficking charges.

Police in the southern city of Malaga, in the region of Andalusia, said the operation was continuing and had already resulted in the seizure of 3.2 kilos of cocaine, USD 11,000 in cash and five vehicles.

Five women were among the Colombians detained, according to officials.

The 29-year-old soldier, identified only as Julian L., was stationed at an army base in Paracuellos del Jarama, near Madrid.

His rank was not given officially, though it was understood to be that of a private soldier.
