MADRID-The Spanish prime minister will be joined by the leader of the opposition at the Pope´s funeral on Friday in Rome.

Premier Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero will attend with Mariano Rajoy, leader of the conservative Popular Party which has been traditionally close to the Church.

At least two other government ministers will join Zapatero, possibly the Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos.

But so far the final line-up of politicians has not been decided.

Apart from the political representatives, it seems likely King Juan Carlos of Spain and Queen Sofia will attend the two-hour funeral in Rome.

They will be among 200 heads of state who will attend the ceremony.

It now seems more likely, Prince Charles of Wales will postpone his controversial marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles, which was scheduled for the same morning.

The EU will be represented at the funeral by the president José Manuel Durao Barroso.

The Spanish president of the European Parliament, Josep Borrell, seems likely to attend too.
