MADRID -  Spain's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.8 percent in 2007, easing slightly from 3.9 percent in 2006, the Bank of Spain said Wednesday.

The national bank attributed the slowdown mainly to slackening domestic demand.

The economy was flexible enough to face a deceleration which was to be expected to continue in the upcoming quarters, the Bank of Spain said.
