SEVILLE - Spanish police and customs officials have seized more than 230,000 fake brand products worth over EUR 100 million in the southern port of Algeciras, customs sources said Thursday.

The operation was described as the biggest of its kind in Spain.

The products falsely marked as representing 45 brands included sports shoes, ties, belts, wallets, trousers, jackets, suits, shirts, caps, bags and watches.

They were discovered inside six containers coming from China and heading for Morocco.
