8 December 2006, MADRID — The Spanish government is to give EUR 41 million to several United Nations agencies, it was announced Friday.

MADRID — The Spanish government is to give EUR 41 million to several United Nations agencies, it was announced Friday.

Madrid allocated EUR 15m to the United Nations Development Programme, and EUR 8m to the Food and Agriculture Organization.

UNICEF will receive EUR 6m and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East is to receive EUR 4m.

Spain's contribution to the International Labour Organization will amount to EUR 3m), the same figure it assigned to UNIFEM, the United Nations Develoment Fund for Women.

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS will receive EUR 1m.
