Second man sets self on fire in Spain: police
A man apparently set himself on fire Thursday in the Spanish city of Malaga, police said -- the second such attempted suicide there in as many days.
Police found the 63-year-old man suffering from severe burns after what appeared to be a "suicide attempt", near a burning car under a highway in the southern city, they said in a statement.
He was taken by helicopter to the Carlos Haya hospital -- the same one near which another man of 57 set himself on fire on Wednesday, according to hospital sources.
El Mundo newspaper cited a witness to that incident saying the man was unemployed and had money problems. Police gave no details of the identity of Thursday's victim.
In recent months media have reported a handful of suicides of people facing eviction as Spain suffers an economic recession.
