Madrid promotes science through 770 free activities.

From 9 to 22 November, the city of Madrid has scheduled a series of activities and events to promote science.

Confronting the new challenges of modern society and developing technologies, Madrid chooses to promote innovation and creativity through this series of activities.

Environmental-minded people will be able to learn how to get organic vegetable products and manage energy resources efficiently around your home, while science lovers will be able to acquire latest knowledge about stars at the far end of the universe and geological properties of the building blocks of your home.

You can also find out updates on the flu virus or the most recent research in cancer.

Over 410 institutions will take part in the series of presentations, activities and events aiming to make science simple and accessible to people from all types of backgrounds.

They will aim to link science and society and make people aware of the latest innovation and research in the different fields. Activities range from short seminars to demonstrations and tours through research laboratories.

Most of the talks will be held in Spanish, but tours, demonstrations and activities are easy to follow as those would be based on representations rather than words. Some talks will be held in English.
