MADRID — The Spanish navy has suspended three sailors - two men and a woman - who took part in a pornographic video shot aboard a naval vessel and later posted it on the Internet.
According to a navy official, the decision was taken after a disciplinary order was issued against the sailors who took part in the filming on the fleet oil tanker 'Marques de la Ensenada' at the Rota naval base in southern Spain.
The video was shot in November 2005 and posted on the Internet at the end of December, according to the official.
The navy discovered the video and opened the investigation that led to the disciplinary proceedings.
According to the source, the female sailor, who is seen in the video having sex with one of her shipmates while the other filmed the proceedings, has in turn filed a suit against the court.
She said that the sailors promised her the video would be destroyed and was unaware that it would be posted on the Internet.
The consequences for those involved, according to armed forces disciplinary law, can include expulsion from the navy.
