Repsol is to sell liguefied natural gas (LNG) to South Korea's Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), the first such deal for the Spanish oil major in Asia, it said Monday.

Under the agreement, Repsol will sell 1.9 billion cubic metres of LNG to KOGAS, equivalent "to the annual supply of a million households," said the company, which did not indicate the value of the deal.

The gas will be supplied from Repsol's production centre at Pampa Melchorita in Peru.
