Police recover bodies of missing Spanish hikers
Police recovered on Saturday the bodies of two Spanish climbers missing for several days in the western Pyrenees.
The men in their forties disappeared on Tuesday and were found on the Spanish side of the mountain range on Friday morning, police said.
Early inquiries suggest the hikers, clad in summer clothing, died from hypothermia.
"They seem to have got lost. They were not suitably equipped for the mountains," a source said.
"They were wearing shorts and T-shirts."
The pair were found several kilometres (miles) from Pierre Saint Martin by the French-Spanish border.
