BILBAO – Spanish police have arrested another suspected ETA terrorist in the north-west city of Bilbao.
The Guardia Civil said the woman, named as Aitziber Sagarminaga Abad, was arrested in the early hours of the morning.
This brings the number of alleged ETA members detained by the security forces in the past three weeks to 14.
The latest arrest was said to be in connection with earlier arrests of members of the Basque terrorist organization's logistical arm.
French police also arrested two ETA suspects in south-western France.
The two arrests took place after a car chase in which ETA suspects fired shots at the pursuing police cars.
No-one was injured and police arrested one shortly afterwards. The other was arrested days later at a train station in Paris.
Six ETA prisoners have recently called for the organization to give-up the armed struggle which they said, in a letter, did not "serve their purpose".
Spanish newspaper reports on Thursday, suggested ETA and its banned political wing, Batasuna, would shortly call for a truce.
