VITORIA - An elderly man died after he was thrown out of a window by his wife's son, police said Monday.
The 84-year-old man was pushed from the first floor window of a flat in Vitoria in north-west Spain.
The pensioner was having an argument with the mentally-disturbed son from his wife's earlier relationship.
The son was arrested shortly after.
Witnesses told how, moments before they saw the man being pushed from the window, they heard the son shout: "It was me, what's happening?"
Neighbours later said that the son, who was the natural son of the partner of the dead man, was a security guard.
He said he wanted his mother's partner to leave the house so he could live alone with his mother.
Neighbours were left shocked as the victim was well known in the area and liked.
