Spanish women encouraged to ditch tampons for sea sponges
Spain's CUP party has instructed 'environmentally conscience' women to use natural sea sponges to help the environment and their bodies.
Women in Spain are being encouraged to ditch their tampons and use sea sponges instead.
In a bid ‘to save the planet’, members of the CUP party in Catalunya are encouraging women ‘with an environmental conscience’ to favour sea sponges over tampons.
In a bizarre set of instructions, the party insists that natural sea sponges are both better for the environment and the human body.
They claims that some traditional products are in fact ‘harmful’ for women’s health and have also suggested introducing reusable sanitary towels on a wider scale.
