The BBC reported the man was detained in connection with the death of John Ward, 22, who was shot at his home in Point Clear Road, St Osyth, Essex, in March 2006.

Three men from Essex were on trial at the Old Bailey in London, charged with Mr Ward's murder.

The jury was discharged on Tuesday and the judge said the fourth man would be returned to the UK to face a new trial with the others.
