SAN SEBASTIAN — Police hunting for a security guard after his boss was found dead in a blazing building find the body a man.
The body is thought to be that of Manuel Apaolaza, who was wanted in connection with the murder of his former boss.
The body was found with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Earlier, thirty police officers raided the home of Apaolaza in San Sebsatian, in the Basque Country, but there was no sign of him.
He had been missing since Sunday when the blaze at the building started in San Sebastian.
Earlier on Tuesday, police revealed they had found the body of Florencio Parra, another security guard, with a gunshot wound to the nape of his neck.
He was the security boss at the office building which was set on fire and worked with Apaolaza.
Police said a row had started between the security guards and their boss over the hours they had been asked to work.
Parra said they should do double shifts.
On the evening of Parra's murder, he was ending his shift as Apaolaza was starting his second shift.
Police said a number of alarms and security cameras had been deactivated lead investigators to believe the blaze had been started on purpose.
Neighbours of Apaolaza said he was "very serious, a good worker, introverted, quiet but very nice".
He had been caring for his mother until her recent death and the two were very close, another friend said.
