OVIEDO — A court ordered on Thursday four children of a Spanish woman must be returned to Israel to be with their father.
Maria Amor Gonzalez, 37, was told by the high court in Oviedo, northern Spain, the children must be returned to be with their father Abel Issac Bedoya.
The high court said the children had been illegally taken from their normal place of residence and under the Hague Convention must be returned.
Gonzalez left Israel in 2005 to return to Aviles with the children without telling her husband.
Another court ruled against an appeal by Gonzalez.
The couple went to Israel in 1997, but after their marriage started to break down, she decided to return home to Spain with her children.
