The exhibition of 40 photographs by Spanish photographer Isabel Muñoz reflects the situation of children and children's rights throughout the world.

Photographer Isabel Muñoz’s exhibition at the CaixaForum reflects the situation of children and children's rights throughout the world. 

One of the best Spanish photographers, Muñoz has travelled throughout 20 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas capturing on lens the reality of life for the younger generation. She is also the winner of the Medalla de Oro al Mérito en Bellas Artes 2009, the Premio PhotoEspaña 2009 and World Press Photo 2000 and 2005.

The 40 photographs can be seen in the vestibule and terraces of the CaixaForum Barcelona as well as in the exhibition hall itself.  They are accompanied by text and audiovisual material to guide visitors.

The exhibition, which lasts till 29 August, is presented by UNICEF to mark 20 years since the official Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child is the first international, legal instrument that incorporates the full extent of human rights from civil and cultural through to political and social.  The Convention was approved by the United Nations in 1989.

Family tours and children's workshops alongside the exhibition are also taking being offered.
