Iran wants scientist's 'return without obstacles': minister
An Iranian nuclear scientist who has taken refuge at the Pakistani embassy in Washington should be allowed to "return without obstacles" to his homeland, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Tuesday.
"We hope that, without any obstacle, he can return to his country, that they (the United States), do not create any obstacle for his return to his homeland," he told a news conference in Madrid.
Earlier on Tuesday Iranian nuclear scientist Shahram Amiri, who claims he was kidnapped by US spies, surfaced at Tehran's interest section in Washington, which is overseen by the Pakistani embassy.
