BARCELONA — A fire in the offices of a court has destroyed scores of papers relating to forthcoming cases.
The blaze happened in the early hours of the morning and destroyed paperwork at court number 44.
The city fire services said it was still unclear what had caused the fire which started on the first floor of the building.
But an investigation has begun to establish if it was started deliberately.
No-one was injured and the structure of the building has not been harmed, a fire services spokesman said.
Four teams of fire fighters were called to the incident which started just alter 4am.
Other court papers which have survived the fire have been removed from the court in Via Laitana, one of the main arteries in the city.
