MADRID – Yearly inflation fell to 2.4 percent, according to latest figures released on Friday.
The National Statistics Institute said the retail price index - which measures the prices of goods sold - went up by 1.4 percent last month.
This meant the annual rate of inflation fell to 2.4 percent.
The largest rises were seen in the prices of clothes and footwear.
The only sector where prices fell was communications.
Around the country, prices went up most sharply in Murcia (2.9pc) and Catalonia (2.7pc).
