MADRID - A homeless man was mauled to death by the Alsatian dog he looked after in Cañete la Real, Málaga on Tuesday night. The man was living in a warehouse on the outskirts of the city, along with the animal, which he had found on the street and begun to take care of some time ago.
Around 9pm, several neighbours heard the man screaming, and found him on the ground being attacked by the dog. The animal was not dissuaded by their shouts, and only ceased to attack when they threw it a chunk of meat.
Despite the quick actions of the neighbours, the man died of his wounds, and was buried yesterday afternoon in Cañete la Real.
