MURCIA — A gunman who killed two men and shot his own son has been arrested after two weeks on the run.
The 52-year-old man shot dead a worker who tried to interrupt an argument he was having with his son.
He then shot his son in the chest, leaving him seriously injured but alive.
The man then ran over a pedestrian as he drove off at speed.
Police finally arrested the man in Murcia.
The events happened on 13 October at industrial estate called La Cova, in Torrente, a town near Valencia.
The row broke out for reasons which are still not clear.
A 55-year-old worker who tried to intervene in the row between father and son was shot dead.
The gunman drove off in a car and ran over a 67-year-old man who died immediately.
The son was in a serious but stable condition in the Hospital de La Fe in Valencia.
The gunman's car was later found.
He was described by colleagues with whom he worked as "disagreeable".
Last year, they claimed, he had tried to attack his 35-year-old son.
But his family said he was a good father and was a good man.
A day of mourning was declared by the local council in Manises for the two men who were killed.
