LOGRONO- (AFP) - Spain's Oscar Freire, of the Rabobank team, added the sixth stage of the Tour of Spain to his wins in the second and fifth stages on Thursday.

Freire triumphed over the 184.3km run from Reinosa to Logrono.

Russia's Vladimir Efimkin, of the Caisse d'Epargne team, stayed in the yellow jersey.

Freire, who will hope he can take his form into the world championships in Stuttgart in three weeks' time, was again the strongest in the sprint on Thursday.

He finished ahead of compatriot Koldo Fernandez with Germany's Andre Korff taking third place and Tom Boonen in fourth.
