MADRID — Eleven forest fires were blazing out of control in Spain on Tuesday
Eight were raging in remoter parts of La Coruna, in Galicia.
Fire fighters were also battling two others in Pontevedra, in the northwest of the country.
And new blazes started in Conil, near the port town of Roche, which is close to Cadiz.
Roads have been cut to the area and residents have been evacuated by police.
It is the third time in the past week that forest fires have started in this area.
Temperatures reaching 30 C and winds of up to 30kmh have made it harder for fire fighters to bring the blazes under control.
Police arrested a man who is thought to have started this blaze.
Most of the forest fires have been quickly controlled and isolated.
Spain has seen outbreaks in Pontevedra, La Coruña, Cáceres, Badajoz, Cádiz and Valencia in the past few days.
So far, no-one has been injured.
