Fans rush for Stones' tickets

18 April 2007 , BARCELONA – Four hours after they went on sale, fans had snapped up 14,000 tickets to gigs this summer in Barcelona and Madrid by the original bad boys of rock, The Rolling Stones, concert organisers said on Wednesday.

BARCELONA – Four hours after they went on sale, fans had snapped up 14,000 tickets to gigs this summer in Barcelona and Madrid by the original bad boys of rock, The Rolling Stones, concert organisers said on Wednesday.

Promoters Gay & Company put 100,000 tickets for the two concerts on sale at 7 a.m.

Tickets for the 21 June show at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona are priced between EUR 65 and 185.50. Tickets for the Madrid concert on 28 June at the Vicente Calderón Stadium cost between EUR 70.50 and 185.50.

The Stones have scheduled two more Spanish shows in San Sebastian and El Ejido in the Almeria province on 23 June and 30 June, respectively, as part of their "A Bigger Bang" European tour which kicks off in Belgium 5 June and ends in London 21 August.
